Avid Core is a team of strategic communications professionals that works to bring together politicians, experts and the public in pursuit of effective communication and community empowerment. As a Strategic Communications Intern, I assisted with executing DEI and public involvement strategies for a variety of federal and local clients. One particular project I'm especially proud of is my work on the Harrisonburg Rockingham Long Range Transportation Plan. Materials creation and public meeting preparation allowed me to combine my skills in writing, design and Spanish to ensure the planning committee was as equitable and effective as possible.
