The GW Hatchet is an editorially and financially independent student newspaper staffed by students in The George Washington University's community. As a Staff Writer, I pitched and wrote one to two articles weekly in addition to shorter blog posts. This included conducting extensive topic research and interviews with both article subjects and field experts. I primarily covered the metro, student life, academics and culture sections.
